OFAC publishes cyber-related FAQs for FSB sanctions

FAQs concern sanctions imposed on the Russian Federal Security Service plus the recently issued General License 1.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (‘OFAC’) published four cyber-related FAQs concerning sanctions imposed on the Russian Federal Security Service (‘FSB’) on 29 December 2016.  OFAC designated the FSB for Russia’s alleged cyber interference in the run-up to the U.S. presidential elections.
