Australia updates its consolidated list

On 21 February, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (‘DFAT’) updated its consolidated list of sanctioned entities and individuals, to include an entity mentioned in para 1(c) of UN Security Council resolution 1373 (2001) as an ISIL-affiliated extremist group, Islamic State Khorasan Province.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs also declared that the listing of Islamic State Sinai Province will continue to have effect for a further three years, following a statutory review as required under s15A of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945.
