Changes to Singapore strategic control list to come into effect in October

Changes to Singapore’s control list, including those to the Fourth and Fifth Schedules of the Strategic Goods Control Regulations (‘SGCR’), gazetted in July, will come into effect on 1 October.

The changes bring ‘Singapore’s Strategic Goods (Control) Order 2021 (‘SGCO 2021’) up to date with the 2021 Wassenaar Arrangement’s Munitions List, and the 2021 European Union’s List of Dual-Use Items (‘EUDL’).’

The Strategic Goods (Control) (Amendment) Order 2022 will incorporate revisions such as new controls, as well as editorial changes for consistency and clarity of controls.
