1. PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND
This Privacy Notice explains how Dow Jones & Company, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including Factiva Limited, (collectively, ‘Dow Jones’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) may collect, use and disclose your personal data when you use the worldecr.com site or subscribe to our online publications (collectively, the “Site”). If there is a conflict between this Privacy Notice and a Dow Jones corporate subscription agreement which governs your use of the Site, the Dow Jones corporate subscription agreement will take precedence.
This Site is intended for general audiences. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors under 13 years of age.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOLD ABOUT YOU
We collect Personal Data from the follow categories of people:
- Contacts at corporate customers and subscribers
- Individuals who visit and interact with the Site
- Attendees of events and webinars
Personal Data that we hold about you will often come from you directly (for example, when you subscribe to our content or register for an event or webinar) and depends on the activities carried out through the Site. This Personal Data may include the following:

- Email address (personal and business)
- Contact number (personal and business)
- Occupational data, such as your position or title
- Commercial information, such as purchase history or delivery information
