Extradited Tappin under house arrest

Christopher Tappin, the UK businessman who lost his fight against extradition to the United States to face export control violation charges, has been released on bail from the high-security New Mexico prison in which he has been held since February. Tappin is now under house arrest and staying at the home of his lawyer. In an interview with the BBC, Tappin said that he had feared that he was ‘going out of his mind’ under his previous conditions of incarceration, which included a spell of solitary confinement.
