Export controls are placing an increasing compliance burden on companies in the freight and logistics sector, with some pleading for a greater understanding on the part of policy-makers as to the impact of complex legislation and sanctions.  Increasing volumes of business, changing laws and tougher enforcement efforts and penalties are combining to create huge pressures on even the largest companies in the sector.
