Alistair is a senior associate with Moulis Legal and is a key member of the firm’s international trade practice as well as the manager of Moulis Legal’s Melbourne office.
Alistair has significant experience in international trade law matters, with export controls/sanctions compliance, complex domestic and cross-border commercial transactions, and judicial review litigation featuring strongly. He has handled sanctions due diligence work for IPO listings on the HKEX. He has advised Australian and international companies on market entry and interactions countries including Iran and Russia, relating to capital and retail goods trade. His thorough understanding of the commercial, societal and political context in which his clients operate allows him to provide thorough and nuanced representation and advice.
Alistair’s studies incorporated the economics of international trade, with a special focus on the dynamics of the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a Masters of Law specialising in International Law, and is accredited as a specialist in Administrative Law by the Law Institute of Victoria.
