Hugo Munthe-Kaas is a lawyer at the Norwegian law firm Thommessen. He has broad legal experience within matters concerning corporate compliance and heads Thommessen’s compliance and investigation group.
He advises both Norwegian and large multi-national companies in issues related to compliance programs, integrity due diligence, anti-corruption, export control and economic sanctions.
Hugo assists companies in preparing and working out compliance strategies and is regularly in contact with the Norwegian authorities in order to obtain clarifications, information on future rules, and business licences.
Hugo regularly gives lectures on compliance topics, such as economic sanctions and anti-corruption, and has key experience of corporate investigations and of representing clients faced with government investigations and enforcement.
